The Dispossessed ei olekaan niin kauheaa luettavaa kuin aluksi oletin. Tiedä häntä miksi en uskonut siitä pitäväni. Voi johtua kannesta, tai ylipäätään siitä, etten vieläkään ole löytänyt tieteisfiktiota tai fantasiaa itselleni sopivana. Kotona odottaa hyllyssä koko Linnunradan käsikirja suomennettuna, mutta en ole päässyt siihenkään tarttumaan ja sekin pitäisi taatusti lukea englanniksi. Tarun Sormusten Herrasta aloitin taas, tai jatkoin siitä mihin keväällä jäin, ja olen jo Tom Bombadilin talossa.

Pohdin syytä siihenkin, miksi aina kun on pakko lukea valittuja kirjoja, lukisi mieluummin jotain muuta. Nytkin lukisin mieluummin Shakespearen Henryt nelosesta vitoseen ja popsisin pastilleja.

Mutta on pakko lukea Le Guin ja George Eliot, jälkimmäinen mielellään ennen lukuloman loppua.
